2022 Virginia Artists Winners

Glen_McClure-476868.1826814.jpg On Saturday, the Charles H. Taylor Visual Arts Center presented our 2022 Virginia Artists winners with their awards! This year’s exhibition features “GOD HAUNTING,” a solo exhibition by last year’s Virginia Artists “Best in Show” award winner, Jonathan Ashe. Included is a group of mixed media works that seek to explore the origins of creative and spiritual energy. Emily_Christoff-Flowers-477683.1829207.jpg Also featured is Voice-Overs: The Exhibit, where Virginia Center for the Book invited regional partners to feature an exhibit of 16-20 broadsides created by Virginian poets, writers, and visual artists, especially on the themes of racism, sexism, and bias in the cultural environment. This much anticipated annual juried exhibition showcases many of Virginia’s finest artists and artisans. Artists from all across the Commonwealth, who work in all styles, genres, and media, were invited to submit artworks for consideration. The exhibition will be on display from September 17 – November 12, 2022. Check out the full list of winners below!
