A Tribute to Country Music Legends
Two legendary musical icons come to life for one night only at The American Theatre. The tribute concert features the incomparable Robbie Limon, joined by Tracey Wygal in an unforgettable evening celebrating music legends Hank Williams, Sr. and Patsy Cline.
Meet Robbie Limon
Robbie Limon is a very talented singer-songwriter and entertainer who is as comfortable with intimate, small venue, and solo appearances, singing the best music of the 1970s and accompanying himself on acoustic guitar, as he is playing before festival crowds or sold out theater performances. He has averaged 200+ such appearances each year since 2005. Performing in multiple venues across the United States, at various events ranging from wineries, corporate functions, anniversary events, and private parties. His five piece band specializes in replicating the most memorable recordings of the 1970s. It is a musical event which rekindles the audience memories to that time and their place in it.
Meet Tracey Wygal
She is a recognized performer and award-winning music educator. With an undergraduate degree from Shepherd University and a master’s degree from West Virginia University, Tracey has applied and shared her passion for music through her career as a choral music educator that spans nearly 20 years. Her likeness to Cline’s unmistakable, robust voice has received accolades time and time again by many who know the music legend personally. From Cline’s hometown of Winchester, Virginia, where Tracey now teaches to performance locations across the country, audience members have raved about the striking similarities between Cline and Withrow including precise inflections, bold and strong tone, and the emotional portrayal of the unforgettable artist.
“They were voices like none other,” said Hampton Arts Artistic Director Richard M. Parison, Jr. of Williams and Cline’s impact on popular music. “And now we have a golden opportunity, if only for a night, to revisit some of the most influential country music of our time.”
