Creating Wellness this Spring!

The Creating Wellness Series returns to Coastal Virginia with two dynamic programs that encourage participants to tap into their creative energy. Each session runs independently and no experience is necessary.

“We are thrilled to continue to bring immersive creative programming to the Coastal Virginia community,” said Hampton Arts Artistic Director Richard M. Parison, Jr. “Suzan Thompson and Suzanne L. Vinson offer unique and exhilarating ways to explore and experiment with creativity. It’s a wonderful way to spend a Saturday, stimulate the senses, and gain a better awareness of what brings us joy in life.”

Telling YOUR Story: SOULCollage®
Saturday, March 9, 2019, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Led by Suzan Thompson, this creative process encourages participants to access deep inner wisdom and artistry. In a relaxed and supportive atmosphere participants will create colorful collages using images (no words!) from magazines and other media, which represent different aspects of one’s self to integrate their gifts and guidance into daily living.

Suzan became a SoulCollage® Trained Facilitator in January 2015. "I wish I could say that I fell immediately in love with the process, but it actually crept up on me instead! I love to work with individuals who are motivated to change and I love to teach! I believe SC merges many of my interests: creativity, counseling, dreamwork and symbolism, and deep inner work," she said.

ART of Daily Living Saturday

Led by artist and ordained Minister Suzanne L. Vinson, the ART of Daily Living workshops are a combination of mindfulness practice, artistic creativity, and energy renewal infused with ritual, art, and conversation. With a spirit of collaboration, community, and playfulness, retreat participants will consciously infuse their work with head, heart and hands.

Suzanne is a sensitive facilitator of the healing arts utilizing guided meditation and visualization as primary tools to engage both the intellect and the human spirit. She describes herself as a "lover of get-it-done lists and daily mapping," and offers "a method of daily living that is customizable to you."

Telling YOUR Story: SOULCollage® and ART of Daily Living are held at The Charles Taylor Visual Arts Center.
