Lightwire, Camera, Action!

Lightwire, Camera, Action!

"Electroluminescent artistry" is one phrase used to describe Lightwire Theater-- a touring performing arts company that combines technology with storytelling.

The concept from co-creators Ian Carney and Corbin Popp began with their fascination with "el wire", a battery-operated light source that offers a 360 degree view of the colorful lights. Unlike blacklights, it does not require theatrical lighting and is pliable enough to move with dancers. Cast members spend hundreds of hours creating their sculptures from recycled house-hold objects then perform with their completed characters in complete darkness.

After success as semi-finalists on NBC's America's Got Talent, Lightwire Theater went on to win Tru TV's Fake Off and became finalists on My TF1's The Best Le Meilleur Artiste in Paris. They are currently on tour internationally with two shows: Dino-Light and Moon Mouse: A Space Odyssey.

This season, Lightwire will be performing A Very Electric Christmas, which follows a little bird named Max who gets blown off-course to the North Pole. An exciting adventure awaits as he encounters caroling worms, dancing poinsettias, Nutcracker soldiers, mischievous mice, and more!

A Very Electric Christmas is a fun show for all ages! This one-of-a-kind stage performance integrates holiday tales with 21st century technology and specially choreographed scenes to produce an illuminating story.

Lightwire Theater combines dazzling visuals with the music of timeless holiday hits in A Very Electric Christmas at The American Theatre on Friday, November 30 at 8pm! Buy Tickets: https://bit.ly/2SQCExw
