Rising to the Creative Challenge

Here at the Charles H. Taylor Visual Arts Center, we believe in providing artists with an opportunity to grow and challenge their creative skills. Our current “Magic Hat” Challenge is allowing artists to display their talents by drawing three cards and locating the three numbers corresponding to a list of adjectives, verbs, and nouns to reveal a new creation predetermined for their creative hand. The purpose of this challenge is to engage visitors, whether new or returning, and enhance their experience by participating in a community activity where their original work will be displayed on the blackboard chalk wall.

The feelings that resonated with me when creating these challenges combined with the engagement from the community reinvigorated my passion towards the arts.
