Smooth Jazz with Nick Colionne and Vincent Ingala

Record-breaking jazz greats, Nick Colionne and Vincent Ingala, take to The American Theatre stage on Friday, November 17 at 8pm!

Since breaking through to contemporary urban jazz stardom in the early 2000s, Nick Colionne has been one of the genre´s most dynamic live performers, headlining hundreds of shows across the U.S. and Europe with his captivating blend of jazz, R&B, funk, blues and soulful vocals. Over the years, the charismatic Chicago based guitarist´s album titles have given fans a peek at what his musical inspirations are. He’s mastered the art of Keepin´ It Cool (2006), pushed musical boundaries to a place where there are No Limits (2008), let fans Feel The Heat (2011), explored some of his deepest Influences (2014), and brought us along for The Journey (2016).

Colionne was named Billboard´s #5 Artist of the Year for 2015, earned a “#1 Most-Added” designation on iTunes and Billboard for the lead single from The Journey, and quickly reached #1 on the Billboard Smooth Jazz and Groove Jazz Music charts.

NickColionne2.jpgColionne has become one of the most in-demand headliners on the circuit, playing up to 75 shows a year throughout the country at top festivals such as Berks Jazz Fest, Capital Jazz Fest, Catalina Jazz Trax Festival, and Seabreeze Jazz Festival, on popular cruises including Capital Jazz Cruise, The Smooth Jazz Cruise, and Dave Koz Cruise, and in other top venues like The Soiled Dove in Denver and the Scullers Jazz Club in Boston. Over recent years, he’s expanded his reach to Europe, playing several times at the Smooth Jazz Festival Augsburg in Germany, the Mallorca Smooth Jazz Festival and Pizza Express Jazz Club in London.

Multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer Vincent Ingala has paved a way for a new generation of jazz since his 2010 critically acclaimed debut album, North End Soul, making him one of the fastest emerging contemporary jazz recording artists in recent history. Still in his early twenties, Ingala's third album, 2015’s Coast To Coast, has kept the young saxophonist on top, with the project’s first and second singles, hitting number one on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart and receiving international airplay on over 50 radio stations, with an average of some 500 weekly spins on outlets such as Sirius XM Watercolors, SmoothJazz.com Global, Music Choice Cable Radio, as well as FM stations around the world

Vincent-Ingala-620px.png Ingala was named Billboard Smooth Jazz Artist of the Year in 2012, Sirius XM Watercolors Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2013, and has had three number one hits on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Chart, five singles in the Billboard Smooth Jazz Top 10, as well as an unprecedented 25 weeks at #1 on SmoothJazz.com’s Top 50 Independent Chart and #15 on SmoothJazz.com’s 2014 Year End Chart with Can’t Stop Now!

As much of an entertainer as he is a musician, the Yamaha Performing Artist has been wowing live audiences as a regular on the popular smooth jazz festival and cruise circuit for several years. His fun-loving stage presence, combined with an obvious passion for playing, elevates the crowd to an exciting frenzy.
