The Capitol Steps put the MOCK in Democracy!
Political humor is at its peak with the Capitol Steps!
What started out as entertainment for a Senator's Christmas party turned into a widely-praised comedy show. Today, the satirical group known as the Capitol Steps is comprised of two dozen performers, including an array of former Senate staffers as well as professional stage actors and musicians. Collectively, they have produced more than 35 musical-comedy albums over their 37-year career. Their latest album, Make American Grin Again, was released earlier this year and features humorous depictions of President Trump, his administration, and more!
The group's name was inspired by a 1981 scandal of a former representative's wife allegedly having a risqué moment on the steps of the Capitol in Washington, D.C. Since then, they have used contemporary topics, newspaper headlines, and other scandals to produce new and hilarious shows.

Throughout the years, the group has been nominated and won awards for their comedy, musical theater, lyrics and entertainment value. In addition to the acclaim, the Capitol Steps also touts critically-rave reviews from The L.A. Times, The New York Times, and The Washington Post.
