Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo
Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo aka “the Trocks" is coming to town. This all male comedic ballet company have been touring the country and getting rave reviews wherever they “pointe,” their toes. Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo and the ballerinas have entertained audiences all across the globe and now they are bringing their show back to the Hampton Roads (the American Theatre) area, for a second time. The performers have been professionally and classically trained, each having the ability to successfully perform some of the most technical ballet transitions. Some of the performers ballet background come from notable schools like The Vaganova School, The San Francisco Ballet School and the School of American Ballet.
The Vaganova School, The San Francisco Ballet School and the School of American Ballet have been listed in the top ten Ballet Schools in the world and have been attended by various Trocks performers. Phillip Martin-Nielson, who has been with the Trocks since 2012, attended the School of American Ballet and plays the roles of Nadia Doumiafeyva and Kravlji Snepek. Also attending one of the top ten ballet schools in the world is Joshua Thake (San Francisco Ballet School). Thake joined the Trocks is 2011 and plays roles Eugenia Repelskii and Jaques D’Aniels. Takaomi Yoshino attended The Vaganova School and has been with Trocks since 2018; Varvar Laptopova and Boris Dumbkopf are the roles that he plays.
The Trocks will be touring across the US with additional dates in Spain, Portugal, Japan, the United Kingdom and Russia for the remainder of the year. Be sure and visit the website trockadero.org for additional dates.
