Beginning Drawing
Tuesdays, January 14 – March 3, 1:00-3:30pm
Focus will be on becoming familiar with the tools of drawing and how to use them, how to create a drawing, and basic to advanced drawing techniques including line work and shading.

Watercolor Painting
Wednesdays, January 15 - March 4, 10am-12:30pm
Focus will be on the fundamentals of watercolor technique, materials and personal expression in painting. Students will discover the use of shape, line, value, color, and texture to create good composition. Students will also explore painting styles and influences leading to the development of watercolor as a modern American art form.

Painting in Oils or Acrylics
Thursdays, January 16 – March 5, 1-3:30pm
Students with any level of experience from beginning to more advanced may work with oils and acrylics and explore their own style and original subject matter. Beginning students will learn fundamental materials and techniques, while more experienced students will be challenged to reach another level. The class will feature lecture, demonstration, individual instruction, and critiques. Materials list will be emailed or mailed.

Oil and Cold Wax Workshops
Part 1: Saturday, February 8, 10am-3pm
Part 2: Sunday, February 9, 10am-3pm
Combining cold wax and oil paint creates fascinating possibilities. The mixture dries much faster and allows for the use of other mediums in the creative process. An intriguing and fun process, be prepared to get hooked!
